I’m eager to begin our learning journey together!
My name is Elizabeth, but everyone calls me Lizzie.
From the ripe age of eight, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. My classroom creations in our two-car family garage were the talk of the neighborhood. You could always find me standing in front of my best garage sale purchase, a giant chalkboard, teaching my invisible students for hours.
Sound familiar?
Fast forward quite a few years and you’ll still find my happiest place to be a classroom.
I’ve taught a variety of grade levels, served as a curriculum coach and specialist, led an elementary school, coached teachers and principals of all levels and now… I’m here to serve you. Let me help you navigate project-based learning and its role in your home, school or classroom. My mission is to help you find your inner child, the one that vibrantly loves learning about our beautiful world, and emanate this love for learning into every lesson you teach.
I was nervous to try on project-based learning in my kindergarten classroom. It seemed like a lot of work on my end and a loss of what I thought was structure in the learning environment. After seeing major success over the past year in my classroom, I can now say that I’d never go back to my old style of teaching. Project-based learning has literally flipped the script on engaging my learners over the past year. My students are running through the door each morning to see what we’ll be learning next about a specific topic. My parents are constantly telling me that their children talk nonstop at home about our topic of discovery.
